让·波德里亚(Jean Baudrilltard)，又译为让•波德里亚，1929年7月29日出生于法国兰斯（Reims），1966年至1987年任法国南特尔大学社会学教授，西方著名哲学家、社会学家、后现代理论的主要代表人物。著有《物体系》、《象征交换与死亡》、《消费社会》、《生产之镜》、《符号政治经济学批判》、《拟像与仿真》、《冷记忆》等。 从1971年至2000年前后，波德里亚为他的读者们奉献了20多部专著和200多篇文章（还有选集），以其“高产”和“高质”而在当代社会思想家中格外引人注目。他也是向英语圈输出知识最多的法语作者之一，几乎一有法文专著出现就尾随有相应的英译本推出。由于波德里亚思想的原创性和冲击力，他也成为了世界上备受关注的思想家。 2007年3月6日，让•波德里亚在久病之后，逝世于巴黎家中，享年77岁
